1962: Final


For the second time in the history of the competition Czechoslovakia reach the World Cup Final. They face the holders, Brazil.



Czechoslovakia start well. In the 15th minute
Masopust gives them a 1-0 lead. But even without Pele, Brazil are the best team in the competition. Two minutes later they Amarildo equalises.

In the second half Brazil take control. Zito puts them ahead with a superb 69th minute goal. Ten minutes later Vava makes victory certain.

Brazil are champions again - this time on latin American soil.
