The World Cup Story: 1930-1990

The idea for the World Cup comes from a President of FIFA, Jules Rimet.

Rimet wants all FIFA countries to play together in a ‘football Olympics’. Thirteen countries enter the first competion for the Jules Rimet Trophy or World Cup in 1930.
